The ∧ Cool Mimi Art Competition
2nd
Creativity without Limitation
A very warm welcome to the second running of the Cool Mimi Art Competition.
A competition supporting disability art. The inaugural event was a big success with many entries, often coming with a powerful backstory either about the artist’s disability’s journey or insight into the competition entry itself, be it a painting, photograph or ceramics. The judges had a difficult task in deciding the category winners.
The aim of the competition remains the same - to encourage disabled artists of all abilities, from full time artist to complete beginner. The emphasis is on fun and participation.
As before, prizes will be by way of Amazon vouchers (which were well received by winning and commended artists).
This year’s theme is ‘Colour and Emotion.’ Have no fear because there will a liberal interpretation by artists and judges alike!

The Lindsay Dutton Prize
Once again we are introducing the Lindsay Dutton Prize, who sadly passed away last year. She worked for many years at the National Spinal Injury Centre at Stoke Mandeville Hospital. Lindsay was an enthusiastic artist with a particular focus on ceramics. The award is made with the approval of her brother Alastair.
